The Gospel of Luke

The Gospel of Luke is a well-documented recording of the steps, acts, and Words of Christ during His entire time on earth from birth forth. God is working in my heart to increase my hunger for His Word, so I am excited to be walking alongside Jesus and to observe what He does and what is important to the most-important being--our God and Savior.

I am also excited to revisit some things by which I have been provoked by in this Book of the Bible, such as those laid out in this four-part series:
The Four Woes of Luke 4

A Praying Life
by Paul Miller

"Just another book on prayer--what we should be doing that we're not." Okay, so that was my honest, first reaction to hearing about this book. But as I have begun to dive in, I am finding it to be quite that.

This is an honest, real, down-to-earth, and most-relatable book. You begin by putting aside the guilt that often keeps us from simply admitting our struggles and stating what our thoughts are on prayer. Prayer can be great, and it can be frustrating. This book meets people on all plane of the field of Christian practice and is the best reading I've experienced so far on the topic!
